Early this morning, fire and EMS crews were dispatched for a report of a tree down in the roadway with a vehicle over the guardrail. Engine 118 arrived on scene along with Medic 95 and found a single vehicle had left the roadway and was on its side. The vehicle’s sole occupant had already exited the vehicle without assistance.
Medic 95 and Ambulance 575 provided medical care while Engine 118’s crew checked for any additional patients and controlled hazards at the scene. One patient was transported by EMS to the local trauma center for further evaluation. Residents are reminded to always wear a seat belt when operating a motor vehicle.
